In November 2012, the article 'Adverse effects of homeopathy: a systematic review of published case reports and case series', co-authored by Prof Edzard Ernst, was published in the International Journal of Clinical Practice (IJCP). This study was of such poor quality and contained such serious errors that HRI felt it necessary to write a letter to the Editor expressing our grave concerns about the lack of reliability of the authors' findings and requesting a retraction of the article.
