Kali phos is often recommended for exhaustion and weak contractions during labour, especially if there are no other distinguishing symptoms. Elsewhere the history is often one of grief, mental shock, overwork, a debilitating illness, or caring for others for too long. The senses become dull and she cannot use her mind anymore; she is worn out, slow to answer questions and apathetic. She may desire solitude.
Crushing headache. Headache from top of head to right eye. Menstrual headache, before and during the flow. Hair loss. Sensation of sticks in the eyes; of sand in eyes; as if eyes were dry. Rumbling in bowels; flatulence. Painless, non-debililtating diarrhea. Urine very yellow. Stitching all through the pelvis and uterus. Bloody discharge during pregnancy. Night pains during pregnancy. Palpitation. Better from belching. Desires fruity, juicy and refreshing things. Loss of appetite from grief. Chilly. Very tired feeling.
Symptoms
Worse: Emotions, grief, mental shock, bad news, worry, too much study, loss of fluids, cold air, becoming cold, cold drinks, physical exertion, talking, standing, ascending stairs, milk, winter, uncovering head, noise, being alone.
Better: Warmth, gentle motion, stool, short sleep.
