Lissi Sigillo DSH, CCH, RSHom NA

Lissi likes to say that she was led to homeopathy by her orange tabby, who had terrible digestive issues for the first 7 years of his life. After all else failed, she finally brought him to see a homeopathic vet and at the same time bought her first homeopathy book. Lissi fell in love with homeopathy immediately! Although an art major, she had always been interested in psychology and the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and physical illness. Learning about homeopathy added dimension to her interest in psychosomatic disease and actually offered a solution.

Even though Lissi continued to paint for a number of years, she kept devouring homeopathy books and her passion for it was always hovering in the background. Eventually there was no question that she had to go where her heart was leading. She committed herself to formal education at the wonderful School of Homeopathy so she could become a practitioner and help people heal in a deep, permanent way. Truly it felt as if her whole life had been guiding her to this point and she's never looked back.

Currently, Lissi has a private practice in Durango, Colorado called Resonate Homeopathy. She loves her work and is constantly in awe of her patients' growth as they heal. She often notices how each one teaches her something about herself. Lissi also runs an online Facebook group with 2 other colleagues, called the Homeopathy Study Group of North America where students and new practitioners can share and learn in a supportive environment. Along with their Facebook platform, the study group hosts free webinars once a month with seasoned practitioners and others involved with homeopathy in some capacity. She is also an admin for the Complete Repertory Group, created by Roger Van Zandvoort, where homeopaths debate and discuss rubric meanings and explore cases.

Lissi loves finding ways to teach and connect with every student in an individual way. Teaching helps her solidify her own understanding because to explain to someone else one has to be clear in one's own head about what is being explained. She loves being able to use her personal life experience to guide new learners and support them in any way she can.

Since becoming immersed in homeopathy, Lissi has constantly sought out more information to broaden her understanding and practitioner skills. She still reads homeopathy books avidly and attends many classes and webinars. She is open to various approaches in treatment and case taking, though she sticks closely to the Sensation approach. A highlight was in 2019 when she attended a 3 day seminar with Rajan Sankaran at the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy in Minnesota.

Having grown up in Brooklyn, NY Lissi was a real city kid and loved all NY had to offer. As a child, she was always drawn to the arts and dreamed of being a dancer, singer or fine artist. Ultimately, she settled on art and studied painting at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. A serious painter for many years, and also a freelance graphic designer for various book publishers in NYC, she designed numerous book interiors, covers, CD packaging and websites. Lissi believes that being an artist has helped to inform her work as a homeopath because she always strives to see beyond the material world and be in touch with the poetry of life.

Once a huge salsa fanatic, Lissi found that dancing was not only a joyous experience but also offered some major life lessons about the importance of paying attention to another person, how to follow instead of lead, and how to let go of worry about making mistakes.

Lissi has been doing yoga for 25 years and practices meditation and pranayama to ground her at the start of each day. Since moving to Colorado in 2020 and finding a house just steps away from the beautiful Animas River, walking and hiking have become a big part of daily life.  Not really sure how she lived in a major city for most of her life she is now permanently addicted to the outdoors.

I love working with individual students and supporting them on this life-enhancing path. It is also great to be part of such a vibrant and supportive worldwide homeopathic community.

I feel it is a real privilege to be associated with The School of Homeopathy - both as a student and now as a tutor. It is wonderful to see how the students blossom as their knowledge and understanding of homeopathy develop; I love witnessing and being part of that process - and I also appreciate how much I learn from it too. Thank you.
